Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated fourth film has a new release date with the project now set to land in theaters in 2026….
You’re going to have to wait a little while longer for Jordan Peele’s next film.
The Oscar winning writer and director revealed the release date for his new film on Monday with the project being pushed back much further than initially expected.
While there’s no word on the title or subject that Peele plans to tackle in his upcoming film the release date is now set — October 23, 2026.
Now that’s perfectly ominous for Peele’s next film to hit theaters just before Halloween but that’s much further back that the originally announced date on December 25, 2024. That date was announced just before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA went on strike, which effectively shut down the entire filmmaking industry in Hollywood for several months.
Notoriously tight lipped about his films ever since “Get Out” became a smash hit and earned him an Academy Award for his screenplay, Peele has said next to nothing about this new movie, although he said he had a clear vision in mind for the story when he appeared on Conan O’Brien’s podcast.
“I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I’m psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favorite movie if I make it right,” Peele said.
Peele’s next film follows up from his previous movie “Nope,” which earned over $172 million at the box office. His second feature film “Us” took home over $256 million at the box office with “Get Out” at just over $255 million.
There’s also no word on who might star in the project, although now that a release date has been confirmed, it probably won’t take long for some information to begin leaking out in the near future.
For now, let the guessing games begin as we all await Peele’s next film in 2026.
