The “Five Nights at Freddy’s” video game franchise is one of the most popular series on a global scale but there was no guarantee that a film adaptation would find the same level of success.
But earning over $297 million on just a $20 million budget for the first film proved that fans of this franchise would definitely flock to the theater to see their favorite murderous animatronic mascots on the big screen.
So not long after the first film found success, a sequel was ordered with original game creator Scott Cawthon back on board to pen the film.
Armed with a bigger budget and a bigger cast, the second film returns to find Abby struggling to move forward into her adolescent years because she desperately misses her friends from Freddy Fazbear’s and her brother Mike isn’t sure what he can do to help.
The same goes for Vanessa after she came to terms with her father as a serial killer. But when the original Freddy Fazbear’s location starts receiving some new visitors, a whole new body count gets started …
