The first look at “Salem’s Lot” — the long awaited remake of the Stephen King classic — has finally arrived with a trailer and the movie set for release on Oct. 3….
“Salem’s Lot” — the latest film adaptation of the classic vampire novel from horror master Stephen King — is finally set to arrive on Max on October 3 and the first trailer has been released.
This has been one of the strangest yet most talked about horror films of the year because “Salem’s Lot” was originally supposed to drop in theaters all the way back in 2022 but the release was pushed back before Warner Bros. Discovery eventually decided to put it on the Max streaming service instead.
Additional delays pushed back the release until finally Warner Bros. Discover announced that “Salem’s Lot” would arrive on Oct. 3.
The film stars Lewis Pullman (Ben Mears), Alfre Woodard (Dr. Cody), Makenzie Leigh (Susan Norton), Bill Camp (Matthew Burke), Spencer Treat Clark (Mike Ryerson), Pilou Asbæk (Straker), and John Benjamin Hickey (Father Callahan) with Gary Dauberman — best known for his work on many of “The Conjuring” universe films as well as writing “IT: Chapter One” and “IT: Chapter Two” — writing and directing this latest adaptation.
Here’s the synopsis for “Salem’s Lot”:
“Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.”
Perhaps come Oct. 3 we’ll all find out why it took so long for this “Salem’s Lot” adaptation to finally be released but for now check out the new trailer and get ready for the movie to debut on Max in just a few weeks!
