Ice Nine Kills is set to provide a bloody good soundtrack for “Terrifier 3” with a new song titled “A Work of Art” based on the horror franchise….
Metal band Ice Nine Kills has paid tribute to numerous horror films over their past two albums — “The Silver Scream” and “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood” — and now a new icon is being added to the list with a song dedicated to Art the Clown from the “Terrifier” franchise.
This past weekend at Silver Scream Con — a horror convention launched by Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas — the news was announced that a new track titled “A Work of Art” was set to debut alongside “Terrifier 3” when the film is released on Oct. 11.
The official music video starring the franchise’s David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown, will premiere at Fantastic Fest on Thursday, September 19th, following the World Premiere of “Terrifier 3″, and will also play in select AMC Theaters nationwide for early showings on Thursday, October 10th.
“The ‘Terrifier’ franchise gave us Art the Clown, the greatest new horror icon in decades,” Charnas said in a statement. “We are beyond honored by the invitation to play within the viciously delightful universe Damien Leone and his incredible team have created.
“The Art and INK fanbases are one and the same, and we heard the screams for this collaboration loud and clear.”
Of course, Charnas announced the news during the “Terrifier” panel at the Silver Scream convention, which also welcomed Thornton, director Damien Leone and several cast members who appeared at the show. Check that out below:
Now Ice Nine Kills officially joins the “Terrifier” family with the new song and video paying tribute to the murderous mute clown at the center of the franchise.
Tickets for “Terrifier 3” are already on sale with the film opening on Oct. 11.
