The first look at the “Rosemary’s Baby” prequel “Apartment 7A” has arrived with Emmy winner Julia Garner meeting the Castevets for the first time….
Rosemary Woodhouse wasn’t the first girl that attempted to give birth to the Antichrist — and that’s the story at the heart of the upcoming “Rosemary’s Baby” prequel titled “Apartment 7A.”
The first trailer for the upcoming film was released on Thursday with Emmy and Golden Globe winner Julia Garner in the lead role as Terry — a troubled girl who meets Minnie and Roman Castevet and suddenly discovers they are more than willing to help her out of a bad situation. It’s safe to say that the Castevet’s don’t exactly have Terry’s best interests at heart and she finds that out in devilish ways after accepting an invitation to live in their building while attempting to get back on her feet.
Here’s the full synopsis for “Apartment 7A”
“An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Garner) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest, I Care a Lot, and Kevin McNally, Pirates of the Caribbean film series) welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true.
“However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.”
Fans of “Rosemary’s Baby” will definitely remember Terry’s name as she’s the young woman who encounters Rosemary when she’s down in the basement doing laundry after moving into the building with her husband Guy Woodhouse. It’s also unforgettable how Terry exits the film but we’ll have to see how that all plays out in the new movie.
