The full trailer for “Grotesquerie” has arrived as Niecy Nash-Betts plays a cop on the hunt for a serial killer in Ryan Murphy’s latest horror series headed to FX…
A brutal serial killer on the loose, a cop obsessed with stopping them and a troubled nun trying to stamp out some evil in the world.
That’s the premise at the center of “Grotesquerie” — the newest horror themed series from “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy with the show set to debut on FX on Wednesday, September 25. Here’s the official synopsis for the series, which also features Kansas City Chiefs star tight end (and yes, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) Travis Kelce in a featured role.
“A series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. Detective Lois Tryon feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan. However, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”
“Grotesquerie” also stars Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Raven Goodwin.
While the last few seasons of “American Horror Story” have almost become more comical than terrifying, it appears that Murphy might be returning to his horror roots with this particular series because there’s nothing campy or funny in this trailer.
Check out the new trailer and get ready for the series to debut on Sept. 25 with episodes showing up on Hulu the next day.
