Anna Camp, best known for her roles on “True Blood” and the recent series “Hysteria,” has joined the cast of “Scream 7” in a mystery role…
The cast of “Scream 7” is still growing.
Anna Camp — perhaps best known for her roles on TV series such as “True Blood” and the recent Peacock standout “Hysteria” as well as the “Pitch Perfect” series — is the latest to join the growing cast for the upcoming horror sequel.
As of now, Camp’s role remains a mystery as does the entire plot for the film, which is set to begin filming sometime in early 2025 with a release date set on February 27, 2026.
Camp expressed her excitement about the casting on Instagram.
“SCREAMING,” Camp wrote. “Literally the first movie I ever went on a date with a boy to a movie theatre was the first Scream… and now I get to be in lucky number 7!!! Insane.”
Camp joins a cast that includes Neve Campbell reprising her role as Sidney Prescott for the latest “Scream” film alongside Mason Gooding, who returns as Chad Meeks-Martin after appearing in both “Scream 5” and “Scream 6.”
New cast members include Isabel May, who is set to play Sidney’s daughter in the horror sequel, and she’s joined by Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace and Sam Rechner.
“Scream 7” is being directed by original “Scream” screenwriter Kevin Williamson with a script from Guy Busick, who also penned “Scream 5” and “Scream 6.”
There’s still no word yet about any other past legacy cast members returning for the newest sequel, although both Courteney Cox and Patrick Dempsey have teased ongoing talks to return for “Scream 7.”
Stay tuned for more casting news as it becomes available.
