Osgood Perkins was essentially born into the movie business as the son of ‘Psycho’ actor Anthony Perkins and actress Berry Berenson.
He followed in his family’s footsteps when he landed his first acting role at 12-years-old when he played a younger version of his father’s character Norman Bates in “Psycho II.” He eventually got interested in working behind the camera with films like “The Blackcoat’s Daughter” and “Gretel and Hansel.”
Perkins always tries to inject some of himself in all of his movies, which is exactly where the inspiration came for his latest film.
A very personal story involving his parents and the decision his mother made to keep a secret from him almost his entire life gave Perkins the idea to craft a story about a cat-and-mouse game being played by an astute FBI agent and a decades-long serial killer.
Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage were eventually cast in the lead roles for the film, but they stayed apart during production until they finally encountered each other in a powerfully disturbing scene.
The film unravels secrets, lies and horrific truths in the dogged pursuit for justice and absolution…
