The 1980s were known for a lot of things. Big hair. The rise of consumerism and materialism. Reaganomics. And satanic panic, which was a phenomenon of moral outrage that really took over during that decade with allegations of Satanic rituals, abuse and even human sacrifice.
Parents across the country lost their minds over films and music influencing their children and attracting them to the dark side where the devil was lurking around every corner.
That crusade takes center stage in a new Peacock series that starts with a star high school quarterback being killed and the blame falls on Satanists, which sends the entire small town of Happy Hollow, Michigan into a panicked frenzy.
At the same time, a teenager named Dylan decides to take advantage of this situation by reinventing his heavy metal band with a new demonic flair and before long, they’re the most talked about students in the entire school.
Sadly, they also become suspects in an alleged cult murder that spirals out of control…
