As part of the “Stranger Things” day celebration — the date in history when Will Byers first went missing — the titles for episodes in the final season have been revealed…
The final season of “Stranger Things” won’t arrive until 2025 but almost all of the titles for the episodes have now been revealed.
It’s almost because episode 2 in particular teases somebody going missing but we won’t find out who until the season starts next year. “Stranger Things” day has become an annual celebration of the popular Netflix series, which occurs on November 6 — the day in the series when Will Byers goes missing back in season 1.
We also now know that the series finale is titled “The Rightside Up.”
Without further ado, here are the episode titles along with the video revealing the names:
Episode 1
“The Crawl”
Episode 2
“The Vanishing of …”
Episode 3
“The Turnbow Trap”
Episode 4
“Sorcerer”
Episode 5
“Shock Jock”
Episode 6
“Escape From Camazotz”
Episode 7
“The Bridge”
Episode 8
“The Rightside Up”
There’s still very little known about the final season of “Stranger Things” outside of teases from cast members during production, which is expected to last through the end of 2024. The eight installments making up the final season have been teased as nearly full length movies so it’s pretty clear that series creators Ross and Matt Duffer are taking their time to bring us this last chapter in the epic 80s saga.
Previously the Duffer brothers teased that “Stranger Things” is going to condense again and primarily take place in Hawkins, Indiana — the birthplace of the series — after spending the past couple of seasons with cast spread out all across the globe.
When season 4 ended, Eleven managed to defeat Vecna but the Upside Down finally cracked through to the real world, which means all sorts of threats are now looming in that small town in Indiana. Meanwhile, Max barely survived her own encounter with Vecna after her bones were snapped and she was left comatose but still alive following her harrowing ordeal with the big bad who has been orchestrating everything that’s happened since season 1.
We’ll surely get our first teaser or trailer sometime in early 2025 but there’s been no word on when the series will actually return. It’s possible that “Stranger Things” doesn’t debut until later in the year or Netflix could potentially split the final season into two parts, which is what happened with season 4 as well.
For now start dissecting the titles of the episodes and see if you can figure out what’s happening in the final season of “Stranger Things.”
