Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian have been two of the most talked about stars in horror over the past year and now they’re teaming up together to lead a new zombie film called “Epilogue” from director Michael Fimognari, who just recently worked with Siegel on “The Fall of the House of Usher” for Netflix.
Siegel — who just recently made her directorial debut for a segment in the horror anthology “VHS Beyond” — stars alongside Dastmalchian — fresh off rave reviews for his performance in “Late Night with the Devil” — are set to play a husband and wife in a dystopian future after zombies have ravaged the world.
Here’s the synopsis for “Epilogue”:
“Set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, the film will follow a desperate couple who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.”
The script for the film comes from screenwriters Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason with Siegel serving as a producer alongside her husband Mike Flanagan alongside Broken Road Productions, Courtney Petrakis and Brittney McDade.
The new horror film is actually the second time Siegel and Dastmalchian have starred in the same production after they both appear in the upcoming movie “The Life of Chuck” — an adaptation of a short story by Stephen King that was directed by Flanagan with that film set for release in 2025.
