The next chapter in the “Fear Street” saga is set for release in May with “The Prom Queen” landing on Netflix along with a new teaser video…
Get ready to return to “Fear Street” on Netflix.
Following a wildly successful launch of three “Fear Street” films in consecutive weeks back in 2021, the newest installment titled “Fear Street: The Prom Queen” is now set for release on Netflix on May 23 with a story that takes place between two of the other films in the series.
Like all “Fear Street” stories, this is another based on R.L. Stine’s original work and we once again return to Shadyside High School where murder just seems to be part of getting to graduation. Here’s the full synopsis for the new film “Fear Street: The Prom Queen”:
“Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”
The cast for the new installment in the “Fear Street” series includes:
- India Fowler (The Nevers, Insomnia)
- Suzanna Son (Red Rocket, The Idol)
- Fina Strazza (Paper Girls, Above the Shadows)
- David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cinnamon)
- Ella Rubin (The Idea of You)
- Chris Klein (Sweet Magnolias, American Pie)
- Lili Taylor (Outer Range, Manhunt)
- Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From, Perry Mason)
- Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie, Avengers: Infinity War)
The latest film in the series is being directed by Matt Palmer (“Calibre”) with a script from Palmer and Donald McLeary.
