Check out the first trailer for “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” as Spike finds out what it’s like to join the cult of Jimmy and Dr. Kelson makes a new friend…
Things are even worse than you could have imagined.
When “28 Years Later” ended, Spike set out on his own to explore the mainland, far away from the security of the secluded and isolated island that provided him safety for his entire life. While out exploring, Spike encountered a horde of rage-infected zombies all coming for him until a strange man named Jimmy and his weirdly identical followers intervened to save his life.
What does that all mean?
Well, we’ll find out on January 16 when “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” lands in theaters with Nia DaCosta (“Candyman”) takes over as director with a script from Alex Garland that continues the story told in “28 Years Later.”
Here’s the full plot synopsis for the film released by Sony:
“Expanding upon the world created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later – but turning that world on its head – Nia DaCosta directs 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it – and Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.”
The cast for the new film includes Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry.
