The surprise horror hit “Tarot” is now available to rent or buy from Sony and we’ve got a 10 minute preview to check out…
“Tarot” was a PG-13 horror film that seemingly came and went without a lot of buzz but the film that cost $8 million to make ended up as a bit of a surprise hit after earning $37.2 million at the box office.
While reviews weren’t exactly kind — you can see our short review in a video below — the movie still ended up attracting audiences to movie theaters at a time when that’s not easy to do — just ask “Furiosa” about that one!
@damonofthedead I love seeing horror films in the theater but #Tarot is 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back #RewindofTheLivingDead #horror #horrortok #horrortiktok #horrorcommunity #horrorpodcast #horrorreview #horrorfanatic #filmreview #PG13
Here’s the synopsis for “Tarot” via Sony:
“When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings – never use someone else’s deck – they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death to escape the future foretold in their readings.
Despite the struggles that the film had gaining respect among critics, “Tarot” still out earned all expectations so maybe this one is worth another shot?
If you haven’t seen “Tarot” yet, the film is now available to rent or own on all major streaming platforms and you can also check out a special 10 minute preview of the film above.
