When we last left “Stranger Things” at the end of season 5, volume 1, the 12 children Vecna sought to kidnap from Hawkins were taken to the Upside Down but not before Will Byers revealed his ability to tap into his powers and he used that ability to stop the Demogorgons and save his friends.
Meanwhile, inside a trap of Vecna’s mind, Max tries to navigate her escape alongside Holly Wheeler as they both attempt to find out the origin of Henry Creel’s greatest fear and looking for a way out and back to the real world.
Hopper and Eleven have also been searching for Vecna when they run afoul of Dr. Kay, the new evil scientist in charge of the military hell bent on stopping them, when they also discover that she’s captured El’s sister Eight and they’ve been using her to power their experiments.
The race is now on to figure out Vecna’s end game while trying to save everybody destined to fall by his hand.
