The popular “Hell House LLC” series will debut the latest film in the franchise with “Lineage” due out on Shudder in 2025…

Get ready to return to “Hell House LLC.”

The popular found footage series that launched back in 2015 and has since spawned three sequels is returning with a new film titled “Hell House: Lineage” that drops on Shudder in October 2025. Production on the sequel is expected to begin in November with series creator Stephen Cognetti back behind the camera and writing the script for the latest sequel.

The original “Hell House LLC” became a viral sensation about a group that takes over the mysterious Abaddon Hotel with plans to transform the place into a haunted attraction around Halloween. As the crew begins digging through the hotel, strange occurrences continue happening and opening night ends in disaster with numerous deaths. The original centers around a documentary film crew going back to the Abaddon to discover what really happened that fateful night.

The success of “Hell House LLC” spawned two more direct sequels and then a third film released in 2023 titled “Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor” that actually teased even more mythology surrounding the creepy clowns that haunted the original film.

There’s no word yet where the story goes in “Hell House LLC: Lineage” but Cognetti actually revealed that he’s been working on the story for a while already when speaking to Rewind of the Living Dead this past year. He also teased that he may actually go away from the found footage style of shooting that has defined this franchise thus far and dip more into a full on narrative storytelling device.

“I do have a story for the next one,” Cognetti said. “I would like to shoot it narratively but I just don’t know when it’s going to be. It may very well be my next project. I don’t know yet where I’m going. If it does go to Hell House, I think that would be the goal, to make a narrative story, not found footage for the next one.”

We’ll have to stay tuned to find out more about “Hell House LLC: Origins” when production gets underway but for now prepare to get scared all over again with the latest sequel due out in October 2025.
