In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to stay away from the pool and let the dead stay buried as we review the 2025 film “Bring Her Back”…
It wasn’t long ago that siblings Danny and Michael Philippou were best known for making crazy YouTube videos under the moniker RackaRacka but the duo made an even bigger name for themselves after creating the smash hit horror film “Talk to Me” that ended up as both a commercial and critical success for indie studio A24.
Following the success of that film, the Philippou brothers signed onto create a sequel to “Talk to Me” but they didn’t want to just cash in on success of that movie by immediately churning out another one.
Add to that, the brothers already had another script developed that they really wanted to put into motion and A24 allowed them to put “Talk to Me 2” on the backburner while they made this new film instead.
With themes of grief and tragedy, the new film centers around an orphaned brother and sister who go to live with a foster parent but they realize that this woman is consumed by loss and she will do anything to bring back the ones she loves …
