“Longlegs” is already one of the most talked about horror films of the year and the movie doesn’t even land in theaters until July 12.
The latest teaser released on Tuesday gives a first look at Kiernan Shipka’s character as the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Totally Killer” actor reunites with writer/director Oz Perkins after previously working together on the underrated horror film, “The Blackcoat’s Daughter.”
Judging by the clip, Shipka’s character was a survivor after encountering the serial killer played by Nicolas Cage in a performance early reviews have called disturbing and one of his best in years.
In “Longlegs,” Maika Monroe plays FBI Agent Lee Harker, who is a gifted new recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer (Cage). As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he claims the lives of another innocent family.”
Neon — the studio behind “Longlegs” — has put on a brilliant marketing campaign for the highly anticipated film with the first images and teasers being released months ago and now we’re starting to get our first real look at the movie.
