The first full length “Alien Romulus” trailer has arrived as a crew boards a ship that already has some terrifying passengers awaiting them….

“This fucking thing is hunting us!”

The first full length trailer for “Alien Romulus” arrived on Tuesday with a deeper look at Fede Alvarez’s upcoming reboot that takes the franchise back to its terrifying roots.

While there’s still not much known about the plot, the new trailer reveals a bit more information as the lead characters in the film, which includes — Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu — board a ship but soon realize they’re not alone.

Of course, it’s not long before the facehuggers emerge and then the fully realized Xenomorph begins hunting these poor souls around the ship and it’s safe to say, not everybody is going to survive.

The timeline for this film reportedly takes place between the events of “Alien” and “Aliens” but it’s unclear if this actually ties into any of the previous stories from the franchise or if this truly serves as a standalone story.

That may not matter in the long run because the trailer definitely looks like Alvarez is taking “Alien Romulus” back to familiar territory when it comes to the pulse-pumping action with a definitely homage to the original “Alien” from director Ridley Scott.

For now, check out the “Alien Romulus” trailer and get ready for the film to land in theaters on August 16!
