“American Horror Story” is returning for season 13 with a cast that includes Academy Award nominated actress and singer Ariana Grande…

Something wicked this way comes to “American Horror Story” season 13.
On Friday, series co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed the main cast for the latest installment in the long running horror anthology series for FX with Academy Award nominated actress and singer Ariana Grande joining the show with the announcement coming just before her new film “Wicked for Good” opens in theaters.
While Grande made her biggest splash as a pop star, she has crossed over to acting several times in the past including a role in the horror-comedy series “Scream Queens,” which was also co-created and produced by Murphy.
Now she’s set to join the 13th season of “American Horror Story” that still doesn’t have a title but the show is returning for the first time since season 12 titled “American Horror Story: Delicate” debuted in 2023 before eventually wrapping up in 2024.
“American Horror Story” season 13 is also set for Jessica Lange to return to the show for the first time since her appearance in the eighth season titled “Apocalypse.” Lange was a mainstay on “American Horror Story” during the early seasons of the show including the first and the third seasons, which earned her a pair of Emmy awards on top of two Academy Award wins during her illustrious career.
Lange is re-teaming with Murphy on the latest season, although much like most of the previous installments of “American Horror Story” there’s not much known about the plot or the theme for the upcoming season.
In addition to Grande and Lange, the rest of the cast includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe and Leslie Grossman, who have all previously appeared on “American Horror Story.”
It’s unknown at this time if the new season might tie back to a previous installment or not. The last time Lange appeared on “American Horror Story” it was for the eighth season, which served as a mashup of characters from the first season, season three titled “Coven” and season five titled “Hotel.”
With the cast announced, expect more details to be revealed in the near future with the series most likely returning some time in 2026.
