Old “Scream” pals Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard are going to cross paths again in “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” with a new trailer also released…
“Watch a few movies, take a few notes. It was fun!”
It’s hard to forget that line or many other spoken by Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard in the 1996 smash hit “Scream” and now the old friends are teaming up together again for the new “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” sequel due out December 5.
During San Diego Comic Con this past weekend, Lillard made a virtual appearance at the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” panel where he announced that Ulrich is joining the case for the highly anticipated follow up film after the original earned more than $300 million at the box office.
“His name is Skeet Ulrich, and he’s in the next movie, so welcome him to the stage,” Lillard said during the panel. “Scream loud! Scream louder! Scream! Thank you, everyone, much love. Enjoy San Diego, have a blast.”
Ulrich actually did appear at the convention for the surprise announcement with a new trailer for the film also released.
“Thank you for being here,” Ulrich told the crowd. “I can’t tell you how honored I am to be a part of this family and to be a part of the fandom now that is really voracious, so thank you.”
There’s no word on who Ulrich is playing in the movie but plot details for the sequel have been revealed. Check that out below:
“One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest.
“Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.
“But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.”
