The new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” trailer features more from Jennifer Love Hewitt, who returns as Julie James and she wants to know what are you waiting for???
“What are you waiting for???”
That’s undoubtedly the most memorable line from the original “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and it would seem almost criminal if Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Julie James didn’t utter the same thing in the upcoming reboot due out on July 18.
So the new trailer for “I Know What You Did Last Summer” delivers that line along with more footage from the upcoming film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson that reunites Hewitt and her original co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. as they reprise their roles and encounter a very familiar situation in the town of Southport.
Here’s the plot for the new film:
“When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
