Horror icons and scream queens Scout Taylor-Compton and Danielle Harris are teaming up to co-direct a new horror film titled “Last Chance Motel”…

Two iconic scream queens are teaming up to make a new horror film together.

Scout Taylor-Compton and Danielle Harris — who first met when making Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” in 2007 and then became lifelong friends while also starting the “Talk Scary to Me” podcast — are now getting ready to share the director’s chair for a new project.

“Last Chance Motel” features Taylor-Compton and Harris as co-stars and co-directors while also coming up with the story for the new horror film being developed under the Talk Scary Productions and Hillin Entertainment banners.

Here’s the synopsis for the film:

“Last Chance Motel follows a newlywed couple whose dream wedding spirals into a bloody nightmare when they uncover that their secluded venue—a desolate motel deep in the Nevada desert—is run by a relentless bloodthirsty family with dark secrets revealing that one bride’s future may not be all that it was promised to be.”

While the actors have worked together numerous times in the past, this is the first occasion where Taylor-Compton and Harris are actually running the show as co-directors for a feature film.

“We’ve always wanted to create something that speaks to horror fans in a way that’s both nostalgic and fresh,” Taylor-Compton said in a statement. “Danielle and I have talked about this for so long—we wanted to be more than just scream queens. This film is the first step in carving out our own space in horror filmmaking.”

Harris, who has been a household name with horror fans ever since her iconic appearance in “Halloween 4′ in 1988, is excited to take the reins on this new film while also getting to team up with one of her closest friends to make the movie happen.

“This project is deeply personal to us,” Harris said. “It’s our love letter to horror—gritty, unrelenting, and absolutely terrifying. We want to create films that feel like the ones we grew up on, the kind that stay with you long after the credits roll. This is just the beginning of what we plan to build together.”

“Last Chance Motel” is set to star both Taylor-Compton and Harris as well as Shane West (“A Walk to Remember”), Heather Langenkamp (the “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise), Monica Keena (“Freddy vs. Jason”), Sierra McCormick (“The Vast of Night”) and Zachary Roozen (“Deadly Debutantes”). Additional cast members are expected to be announced at a later date.
