The new “Scream 7” trailer featured a familiar voice at the end and we’ve also got new photos and a poster for the film…
“This is gonna be fun.”
The new trailer for “Scream 7” dropped on Thursday as we got our first look at Neve Campbell’s return as Sidney Prescott and the revelation that the new Ghostface is not only targeting her but her daughter Tatum — of course named after her fallen friend Tatum Riley — in their new small town home.
But perhaps the most chill inducing moment came in the closing seconds of the trailer after Ghostface promises to burn it all down while apparently setting fire to Stu Macher’s family home where the conclusion of the original “Scream” took place but then we heard the voice of the man who lived there.
Matthew Lillard is heard at the very close of the “Scream 7” trailer, which should get everybody excited after news broke that he was returning to the horror franchise for the first time since the original film from 1996. Of course, Lillard isn’t the only familiar face returning from the past with David Arquette and Scott Foley also coming back from the dead in some way shape or form after being killed in past installments of the series.
But is Stu Macher actually alive or is this a ghost haunting Sidney in this latest film?
“Scream 7” opens in theaters on February 27, 2026 so that’s when we’ll all find out! Read the full plot synopsis for the film below:
“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
“Scream 7” is directed by original screenwriter Kevin Williamson with a script from Williamson and Guy Busick.
