The “Scream 7” Super Bowl trailer has arrived with a hint at the killer coming after Sidney Prescott and her daughter …

Ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, the new “Scream 7” trailer that will play during the game debuted a few days early and we’re getting some more information on the killer plotting to go after Sidney Prescott and her daughter.

In the new footage, Sidney arrives at Fallbrook Psychiatry Hospital where Gale Weathers warns her “this killer has been planning his attack for years.” The room inside the hospital is filled with drawings — apparently meant to be Sidney — and that obviously plays a key role in the plot of this film.

Of course, it’s no secret that “Scream” veteran Matthew Lillard is making his return to the franchise for the first time since the original — and his voice is once again heard during this trailer saying “this is gonna be fun.”

But is Stu Macher the one plotting to go after Sidney and her daughter Tatum (named after Stu’s murdered girlfriend) or is something else at work?

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”

Take a look at the new trailer for “Scream 7” along with the newest poster below and get ready for the film to land in theaters on February 27 with tickets going on sale February 9.
