The newest “Evil Dead” film is set for release in July 2026 with Souheila Yacoub set to star in the follow up to “Evil Dead Rise”…
The next “Evil Dead” film has an official release date.
On Thursday, New Line and Sony Pictures announced that the followup to the highly successful “Evil Dead Rise” film is set to release in theaters on July 24, 2026.
The film is currently titled “Evil Dead Burn” with Sébastien Vanicek set to direct after his success on the French horror film “Infested.”
Souheila Yacoub — who is best known for her appearances in films as “Dune: Part Two” and “Climax” — is set to star in the latest film in the “Evil Dead” universe.
Veteran “Evil Dead” producer Rob Tapert is set to return to produce the film alongside series creator Sam Raimi. Romel Adam, Jose Canas with “Evil Dead Rise” director Lee Cronin serving as executive producer with original “Evil Dead” star Bruce Campbell also on board.
There’s no word yet on a plot for “Evil Dead Burn” or if there’s going to be any direct ties to “Evil Dead Rise” but Vanicek previously teased his plans to make a very “nasty” movie and one that “hurts” to watch for audiences.
Of course, “Evil Dead Rise” ended up as a surprise hit for Warner Bros. when it was first released back in 2023 with the film earning more than $147 million at the box office on a budget of just $19 million. The film earned Cronin plenty of praise as director and he’s since moved onto another major horror project with the upcoming remake of “The Mummy” for Universal Pictures that’s currently in production.
With “Evil Dead Burn” set for release in July 2026, it’s likely that film will get into production later this year once the rest of the cast is filled out alongside Yacoub as the lead star.
