Writer Andy Greskoviak made a horror-comedy with his debut feature film but for his second script, he decided to inject some of his personal life into the story.
It turns out, Greskoviak endured a traumatic few weeks in his younger life after his grandfather passed away and he was forced to undergo an emergency medical procedure just before leaving for a summer camp of sorts.
He decided to use that as inspiration for his latest screenplay and the finished product immediately appealed to Daniel DelPurgatorio, who was attracted to the coming of age setting but the story went much deeper and it spoke to him after he was inspired by films such as ‘Jaws’ and ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind.’
The film centers around a young boy named Morgan, who is sent off to summer camp where he’s tasked with breaking out of his shell in hopes of making new friends but after it appears a campfire tale about a killer doctor stalking children comes true, the kids are forced to fight for their very survival …
