After earning an astonishing $181 million at the box office on a $12 million budget, Blumhouse wasted no time ordering a sequel to the surprise hit “M3GAN” about an AI robot gone wrong.
Once the film got the greenlight from the studio, there was no slowing down with original director Gerard Johnstone signing onto return for the sequel but this time he also penned the script based on a story created be himself and original “M3GAN” writer Akela Cooper.
Original stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw also signed onto return alongside Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, who combined to play the voice and body of the murderous robot.
In the sequel, the technology used to build the original “M3GAN” has been coopted and corrupted by a military contractor to create a weaponized robot but when the technology backfires like it always does in these situations, the machine turns against its creators and only a bad bitch like M3GAN has any hope at stopping her….
