Oscar nominee Wagner Moura is joining the cast alongside Kristen Stewart in a new vampire thriller from “Mandy” director Panos Cosmatos…

Fresh off his Oscar nomination for “The Secret Agent,” Wagner Moura is stepping into the second lead role alongside Kristen Stewart in the new vampire thriller “Flesh of the Gods,” which comes from “Mandy” filmmaker Panos Cosmatos.
Moura replaces Oscar Isaac, who was originally set to star opposite Stewart but scheduling conflicts got in the way and he was forced off the project. In steps Moura after he received rave reviews for his role in “The Secret Agent” as well as past roles in films such as “Civil War.”
Andrew Kevin Walker — best known for writing “Se7en” — is penning the script based on an original story from him and Cosmatos.
In “Flesh of the Gods,” Raoul (Moura) and Alex (Stewart) are a married couple in glittering 1980s Los Angeles who descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence.
Elizabeth Olsen is expected to play Nameless in the new film.
The film was just picked up by A24, which will serve as the U.S. distributor for the movie, with production expected to begin sometime in 2026.
