Damien Leone cleared up some rumors about “Terrifier 4” and the script he’s writing for the long awaited sequel …

“Terrifier 4” is definitely happening but the film hasn’t gone into production yet with writer and director Damien Leone still working on the script.
Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Leone was already done writing and plans for the film to go into production was already in the works. Leone took to Instagram to clear up what’s actually happening with “Terrifier 4” and when the highly anticipated sequel might actually start filming.
“Since there’s so much ‘Terrifier 4’ speculation and false information out there, I wanted to drop in and give an official update,” Leone wrote. “The script is very close to completion and I’m hoping to begin pre-production this spring. This is the most precious script I’ve written for many reasons, but it’s also the most challenging. There’s a lot of material to tackle and a lot riding on this one, not just creatively but emotionally.
“We’ve built something special together over the years. The cast and crew who have been here since the beginning deserve a finale that honors their dedication and the fans who’ve championed this franchise deserve something unforgettable. In all honest, I’m thrilled with the way it’s turning out and confident it will deliver. I will officially announce when the script is complete on my social media pages which also means we’ll be moving into pre-production. If you don’t see it coming from me or confirmed by me, then it’s not official. Thank you for your patience, I promise it will be worth the wait!”
“Terrifier 3” was released in theaters in October 2024 and on a $2 million budget, the film ultimately earned over $90 million at the box office. The titular killer Art the Clown has also become an iconic figure in horror with Universal Halloween Horror Nights even introducing a “Terrifier” house in the theme park.
Almost immediately after the third film found success, a fourth and final film in the series was ordered with Leone once again handling writing and directing duties with series stars David Howard Thornton, who plays Art, and Lauren LaVera, who portrays his nemesis Sienna, are expected to return.
