A new clip from “Scream 7” hints at the killer in the latest sequel tying back to all of the previous installments in the franchise …
“Scream 7” is set to land in theaters on February 27 and a new clip from the film hints at the Ghostface in this latest sequel tying back to all of the famed killers from the previous installments.
Of course, the new film has already revealed the returns of several past actors coming back from the dead (not really, but making appearances in some way, shape or fashion) with Matthew Lillard, David Arquette and Scott Foley all slated to show up in this sequel.
But does this killer actually have ties to some of those other Ghostfaces from the past?
This latest clip sure seems to hint at that, especially with the killer taunting Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) that he’s going after her daughter at the same age she was in the original “Scream.” Here’s the official synopsis for “Scream 7”:
“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter Tatum (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
Original “Scream” screenwriter Kevin Williamson is returning to direct this sequel while also co-writing the script with Guy Busick, who penned “Scream V” and “Scream VI.” This latest film takes place two years after the events of “Scream VI,” which did not involve Sidney at all.
But this time the franchise’s favorite final girl is back and she’s desperate to save her daughter from the same fate that befell her namesake.
“Scream 7” stars Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons and Mark Consuelos.
Take a look at the new teaser above and get ready for “Scream 7” to land in theaters on Feb. 27.
