The new “Frankenstein” trailer reveals a first look at Guillermo del Toro’s nightmarish vision based on Mary Shelley’s original novel from 1818…

“Only monsters play god”

That’s the premise at the heart of the new “Frankenstein” film directed by Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro with the first trailer debuting at Netflix’s special TUDUM event on Saturday.

Starring Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein — a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation — this new nightmarish version of “Frankenstein” is something del Toro has been planning for more than a decade.

Now he’s finally bringing his version of “Frankenstein” to live with a cast that also includes Jacob Elordi (Saltburn, Priscilla) as the Monster and Mia Goth (X, Emma).

“Frankenstein” is set to debut on Netflix in Novemeber but take a look at the new trailer now and get ready for del Toro to unleash this monster later in the year.
